A double victory was scored by AirAsia as it secured recognition as Asia’s Leading Low-Cost Airline for the ninth consecutive year and Asia’s Leading Low-Cost Airline Cabin Crew for eighth year in a row at the recent 2024 World Travel Awards Asia and Oceania ceremony in Manila, based on votes cast by consumers, industry and travel professionals.
The awarding was held at the City of Dreams inside Entertainment City in Parañaque City, where AirAsia Philippines CEO Ricky Isla and Head of Communications and Public Affairs First Officer Steve Dailisan together with Allstar cabin crew, proudly represented the airline and accepted the award on behalf of the Aviation Group.
“Our winning story is one built on trust – trust in our vision, trust in our team, and most importantly, trust from our millions of guests. We are winning because people believe in what we do – providing the best service and travel experience in Asean and beyond”, Isla said.
He added that low-fare offerings such as the ongoing P1SO Sale (also known as AirAsia FREE SEATS in other countries) and the upcoming 9.9 LFG Sale were among the drivers of the said recognition.
Dailisan, for his part, said that the airline’s heartfelt cabin service also drove votes which saw the latter being recognized as Asia’s Leading Low-Cost Airline Cabin Crew. Aside from sustaining their accolades, AirAsia also lauds the Department of Tourism and Secretary Ma. Christina G. Frasco, who was accorded the Transformational Leader Award in Tourism Governance for promoting Philippine tourism.
According to Isla, “it is very special to win voter’s choice awards and the World Travel Awards winning streak tells us that we are doing the right things for our guests.
