American nabbed at NAIA for p19.6-m worth of cocaine

AN American national was nabbed at the NAIA Terminal 3 by joint elements from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the Ninoy Aquino International Airport- Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group (NAIA-IADITG) while carrying over three kilos of cocaine worth P19.6 million.

The alien, identified in a report to PDEA Director General Wilkins Villanueva as Stephen Joseph Szuhar, a retired casino manager, of18533 Bridle Club DR Tampa, Florida, was nabbed while in possession of his black luggage containing 3,700 grams of white powdery substance said to be cocaine with a total estimated street value of P19,610,000.

The suspect came from Doha ,Qatar aboard Qatar Airways Flight QR 932 when he was nabbed at around 2 p.m. the other day.

The NAIA-IADITG and the PDEA arrested the American at the Customs International Arrival Area of the NAIA terminal 3.

His luggage bearing the label, “YIN’S” contained clothes, carbon paper and three improvised pouches made of packaging tape, each of which contained cocaine.

The American is now at the custodial jail facility of the PDEA-Regional NCR to undergo thorough investigation in an attempt to find out if he is part of a drug syndicate.
