“Amputee Killer”, wanted for murder

A manhunt operation is now being conducted by the Manila Police District (MPD) Station 1 and Special Mayor’s Reaction Team (SMaRT) against an alleged killer who has an amputated left leg and who reportedly had been in hiding after killing a Lalamove driver in Tondo, Manila about four months ago.

Joint operatives under MPD-Station 1 chief Col. Jhun Ibay and SMART chief Maj. Edward Samonte are now hunting down suspect Daniel Borromeo ,alias “Putol,” of Franco Street, Tondo.

It was learned that the suspect is facing a case for violation of Revised Penal Code Article 248 or murder for which an arrest warrant was issued by Presiding Judge Josephina Eco Siscar of the Manila Regional Trial Court Branch 55 on October 10, , 2022. No bail was recommended for his provisional liberty.

The suspect is said to be responsible for the kiling of victim Allan Richardson Sumang of Franco Street, Barangay 64 in Tondo last July 15,2022, whom he reportedlly stabbed from behind. After a week in the hospital, Sumang died.

The family of Sumang is crying out for justice, specially since the victim left behind a nine-year-old child.
