Another LPG price increase

OIL companies will implement another price hike of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) effective today Sunday.

Giant oil firm Petron Corporation will increase its price of LPG by P3.20 per kilogram which is equivalent to P35.20 per 11-kilogram cylinder as well as prices of its auto LPG by P1.79 per liter effective at 12:01 a.m. Sunday.

Solane branded LPG meanwhile will also increase its LPG prices by P2.84 per kilogram or about P31.24 per 11-kg cylinder, exclusive of value added tax effective at 6 a.m. Sunday.

Independent oil firm Phoenix LPG Philippines Inc. in separate advisory will also implement an increase of prices of its cooking gas by P3.20 per kilogram and P.79 per liter of its auto LPG effective at 12:01 a.m. today, Sunday.

Other independent LPG retailers have yet to announced their price adjustments but are expected to follow suit.

Stakeholders explained that the monthly basis increase of cooking gas reflect the international contract price of LPG.
