Arriving OFW nabbed by CIDG, AVSEGROUP for VAWC case

OPERATIVES from the CIDG and the PNP-AVSEGROUP, particularly personnel from the NAIA Police Station 1, arrested a 44-year-old Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) upon arrival from Jeddah.

The OFW was placed under arrest on Wednesday night upon arrival at NAIA Terminal 1 pursuan to a warrant issued against him relative to a case of violaton of RA 9262 or the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act.

The warrant was dated March 13, 2025 and his case carries a bail of P72,000.

As of this writing, the suspect is under the custody of the CIDG Manila District Field Unit for further legal action.

In connection with this, AVSEGROUP Director PBGEN Dionisio B Bartolome Jr. said: “the PNP continues to work closely with the Bureau of Immigration to track and apprehend individuals with pending arrest warrants.”
