Bacoor fire leaves hundreds homeless

BACOOR CITY, Cavite –A fire left hundreds of families homeless in the coastal areas of Barangays Alima and Sineguelasan here, at the height of Typhoon Rolly Sunday night.

The Bacoor Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said the incident reach 4th alarm at 10:46 p.m. The fire was out at 1:28 a.m. yesterday.

A total of 402 families or 1,691 individuals were affected by the fire incident. Two were reportedly injured.

The affected residents are temporarily sheltered at theBacoor Elementary School (64 families,271individuals); Alima Elementary School Central (290 families, 1233 individuals) both in Barangay Alima; Jesus in Lord Church (1 family, 4 individuals); Alima Senior High School (SHS) (33 families, 133 individuals), based on the data released by Bacoor DRRMO and Bacoor BFP

Mayor Lani Mercado – Revilla encouraged affected families to still follow minimum health guidelines to avoid the spread of COVID-19 in the area.
