BACOOR CITY, Cavite — The Bacoor local government unit has ordered the two week-closure of two branches of Puregold supermarkets to prevent the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
The LGU ordered the Puregold Panapaan, Puregold V-Centrall Mall, and CAPEDA terminals locked down from November 16 to December 1, 2020.
Results of the Aggressive Community Testing of National Task Force-Coordinated Operations to Defeat Epidemic Team for employees and frontliners of the supermarkets and tricycle and pedicab drivers showed the Camella Pedicab Driver Association has 17 new COVID-19 cases as of November 16, 2020, 10 new cases at the Puregold Panapaan, and seven new cases at the Puregold V-Centrall Mall.
All new cases are undergoing treatment at an isolation facility in the city.
The city has 29 COVID-free villages as of November 17, 2020 .
Bacoor has a total of 2,890 COVID cases: with 119 active cases, 2667 recoveries and 104 deaths.
