Bata Foundation and Zonta

BATA Foundation, Zonta ink MOU. Bigay Awa at Tanglaw sa mga Anghel (BATA) Foundation, Inc. president Gina Marie G. Angangco (seated, right) and Zonta Paseo de Roxas Makati president Rebecca N. Bucad (seated, left) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to form a strategic partnership that would provide home care, education, training and other assistance to girls aged 10-18 who have been orphaned, abandoned or suffering from difficulties. The recent MOU signing, which took part at the Manila House in Bonifacio Global City, also aims to help prepare beneficiaries to live independently and inspire other young women and future generations to make their lives better. BATA Foundation started as an orphanage for girls as young as four years old in 1999, while global international organization Zonta International was founded in 1919. As both share the same mission of empowering girls and women, the partnership developed naturally. Witnessing the MOU signing are (standing, from left) Fe Cabrera, Zonta Member; Socorro Reyes, Zonta Treasurer and Risa Muñoz, Executive Director of BATA Foundation.
