BI nabs US fugitive in Tarlac

AN American national wanted for a string of felony cases in the United States was nabbed by the Bureau of Immigration (BI) in Tarlac.

The fugitive was identified as John Dalton Daclan, 40.  He was apprehended last Tuesday in Bgy. San Juan, Moncada, Tarlac by members of the BI’s fugitive search unit (FSU) under Bobby Raquepo.

Raquepo said Daclon’s arrest was made at the request of the US authorities who informed the BI about the latter’s criminal records in the US, particularly in California where he was charged for various offenses.

The American, according to Raquepo, will be deported not only for being an undesirable alien but also for overstaying and being undocumented which stemmed from the cancellation of his US passport by the State Department.

Daclon, it was learned, is the subject of three arrest warrants issued by the Orange County Superior Court in California on June 21, 2010.  He was allegedly charged before the said court for unauthorized use of identification, grand theft, forgery, burglary, display of false identification, fraud, battery and receiving stolen property in violation of California’s penal code.

Raquepo said Daclon is presently detained at the BI warden facility in Camp Bagong Diwa, Taguig City pending the issuance of the order for his summary deportation by the bureau’s board of commissioners.  He will also be blacklisted and banned from re-entering the country.
