The Bureau of Immigration (BI) said that frontline officers are now permitted to extend holiday greetings to travelers during the Christmas season.
It was emphasized though, that there is a need to keep greetings respectful and inclusive, ensuring that all travelers feel welcomed regardless of their faith or background.
The BI Chief also reminded travelers that government personnel are not allowed to receive gifts or tokens, but is yet to remind his own personnel against taking gifts.
BI spokesperson Dana Sandoval said the BI encourages passengers to arrive early at the airports and cooperate with immigration protocols to ensure a smooth and hassle-free travel experience.
The BI earlier reported that it expects around 110,000 daily arrivals and departures during the upcoming season.
