Bureau of Immigration (BI) spokesperson Dana Sandoval has issued an advisory to all air passengers that they should come early to the airport when traveling this month.
July, she said, is considered a peak season in international travel because of the school break of students.
“All are advised to check in at least three hours prior to their flights to give ample time for airport procedures. We thank all passengers for their patience and cooperation,” Sandoval said.

On Thursday morning starting at 6:10 a.m., she said that the immigration area at the NAIA Terminals experienced a high volume of passengers.
This, she said, is owing to multiple departing flights.
“Our immigration counters were fully manned and worked quickly to process everyone,” she said.
It was reported that in less than an hour, or by 6:43 a.m., the queue was already moderate.
By 7:00 a.m., Sandoval said the queue was already light.
