Broadcaster Shot Dead

A RADIO broadcaster was shot dead by two men, one aboard a motorcycle and another in a Toyota Fortuner Monday night in Las Pinas City.

Police identified the victim as Percival Mabasa or Percy Lapid, of San Beda Homes, Las Piñas City.

Initial investigation showed that the incident took place at around 8:30 p.m. of October 3, 2022 and was reported to the police at 8:45 p.m. of the same evening.

Mabasa was said to be cruising along Aria Street in Barangay Talon Dos, Las Piñas City aboard his black Toyota Innova with plate number NGS-8294 when a suspect on board a Toyota Fortuner bumped the rear portion of the victim’s vehicle, while the other suspect aboard a motorcycle shot the victim and then sped toward an unknown direction.

Two empty shells of unknown caliber were recovered from the scene.

Investigation continues while the suspects remain unidentified.
