Cagayan de Oro City Jail-Male Dormitory Officers Lead Tree Planting Activity

Cagayan de Oro City — The Cagayan de Oro City Jail-Male Dormitory (CDOCJ-MD) took a significant step towards environmental stewardship today by participating in a tree planting activity at Barangay Baikingon. The event was spearheaded by City Jail Warden JSUPT WILLIAM T MANENGYAO, DPA.

This initiative is part of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology’s (BJMP) Greening Program, which underscores a commitment to environmental responsibility, rehabilitation, and community engagement. The activity took place in an area covered by an existing memorandum of agreement, under the collaborative care of BJMPRO-X CDOCJ-MD, Barangay Baikingon, the Patingtingan Integrated Social Forestry Farmers Association (PISFFA), and the City Government of Cagayan de Oro led by Hon. Rolando “Klarex” A. Uy.

The event marks a continuation of efforts to enhance local green spaces and promote environmental awareness, reflecting the BJMP’s dedication to fostering positive community relations and contributing to sustainable development.
