Cagayan de Oro City Jail- Male Dormitory Participates in Region 10 BIDA Programa Diyalogo

Cagayan de Oro City – The Cagayan de Oro City Jail-Male Dormitory, under the supervision of City Jail Warden JSUPT WILLIAM T MANENGYAO, DPA, actively engaged in the Region 10 BIDA Programa Diyalogo. This event, led by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), aimed to bolster efforts in combating illegal drug abuse and promote community collaboration.

Representatives from the Cagayan de Oro City Jail-Male Dormitory included JINSP BRIT D AGUILON, Community Relations Service Officer, JO1 Theody Mar P Baguio, Development Officer, and JO1 Donald E Labial, PDL Data Management Officer. The BIDA Programa Diyalogo is designed to enhance awareness, facilitate collaboration, and equip stakeholders with essential tools and strategies to address drug-related issues effectively.

The initiative is part of the Buhay Ingatan, Droga’y Ayawan (BIDA) Program, which serves as a regional consultation for BIDA partners and stakeholders to discuss pressing drug-related concerns. The BJMP Regional Office 10, under JCSUPT CESAR M LANGAWIN, Regional Director, also participated, with JSSUPT GIL V INOPIA JR and JCINSP JEZA MAE SARAH C SANCHEZ, along with the Cagayan de Oro City Jail-Female Dormitory, led by JINSP LYN M BERNIL.

The program comprised two parts: the first focused on the current Regional Drug Situation, while the second included an overview of the activity and a presentation of BIDA Diyalogo outputs. The event was welcomed by MS. YVETTE TOLENTINO SUNGA, CESO V, Assistant Regional Director of DILG 10. A keynote address was delivered by ATTY. BENJAMIN C. ABALOS JR., DILG Secretary, and the program concluded with closing remarks from MS. CORAZON S. VICENTE, LGMED Division Chief.

This collaborative effort emphasizes the commitment of BJMP and its partners to create a safer, drug-free environment for all members of the community. By participating in the BIDA Programa Diyalogo, attendees are reinforcing a nationwide initiative aimed at reducing drug abuse and its impact on society.
