MORE than P1 billion cash assistance from the national government received by Caloocan City Government will be distributed to qualified beneficiaries starting Wednesday.
Caloocan City Mayor Oscar “Oca” Malapitan said he already ordered the immediate distribution of cash assistance amounting to P1,336,190,000.00 after they received the money on Tuesday.
Based on the list from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), at least 368,925 residents in the city are scheduled to receive cash aid. Under the guidelines, each eligible individual will receive P1,000 or up to P4,000 per family.
The recipients are the beneficiaries of Social Amelioration Program (SAP) under the Bayanihan Act 1 and additional beneficiaries of emergency subsidy Under Section 4f (3) of Bayanihan Act 2 and SAP waitlisted beneficiaries.
Eligible individuals were reminded to wait for the text message from the City Government for the reference number and the pay-out schedule and venue.
