Caloocan leads in cash aid distribution

CALOOCAN City Mayor Oscar “Oca” Malapitan announced that around 105,048 families in the city had already received their cash assistance in just over a week since the distribution began.

This means that the Caloocan city government is now leading in the distribution of financial assistance from the national government compared to other cities in the National Capital Region (NCR).

Caloocan City Social Welfare and Development Department Action Officer Roberto Quizon said they utilized the service of University of Caloocan City students to serve as paymasters in different payout venues.

He added that the modern technology of money remittance company USSC helped them to expedite easily the distribution of cash aid.

The city government targets to provide the 368,925 families on the master list provided by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) within or before the 15 days deadline set by the national government.
