Cascolan presents ‘Dream Team’

DESCRIBING them as his own “Dream Team,” Philippine National Police chief General Camilo Pancratius P. Cascolan yesterday presented to the public his Command Group and other key directorial staff whom he described as top-caliber officers known for their competence and good service reputation.

“My Command Group is a Dream Team. We have been working for so long and our relationship with each other is very good,” said the PNP chief as he was joined in his first press conference since assuming the top PNP post by new PNP Deputy Chief for Administration Lieutenant Gen. Guillermo Lorenzo T. Eleazar, new PNP Deputy Chief for Operations Lt. Gen. Cesar Hawthorne R. Binag and new PNP Chief Directorial Staff Major Gen. Joselito M. Vera Cruz.

All three are members of Philippine Military Academy ‘Hinirang’ Class of 1987 and are direct underclassmen of Gen. Cascolan who belongs to PMA ‘Sinagtala’ Class of 1986.

Lt. Gen. Eleazar will also stay as the Joint Task Force COVID Shield commander while Lt. Gen. Binag will command the Administrative Support for COVID Operations Task Force previously chaired by Gen. Cascolan.

“The movement as well as the latest round of reorganization of senior officers in key positions is consistent with my action program on placement, promotion and leadership development among the corps of leaders in the PNP. As we go along with the other items under my 9-point action program, particularly on facilities development and delineation of responsibilities, it will become necessary perhaps to create new positions, if not, elevate leaders to higher positions,” the PNP chief said.
