A 61-year-old Chinese man died on Tuesday night after hitting the solid ground head first, when he collapsed at the south entrance of the LRT Recto Station located at the corner of Evangelista Street and Recto Avenue in Quiapo, Manila.
Xu Yucan, of Room 902 Binondo,Terrace, Alvarado Street, Binondo, Manila died instantly.
A probe by PSSg Charles Benson Dela Torre of the Manila Police District -homicide section showed that the incident took place at around 6:30 p.m.
Witness Abegail Santos, 25, told the poilice that she was standing at the entrance of the LRT when he saw the victim collapse, his forehead hitting the ground first.
Immediately, she attended to the victim but noticed that he was no longer breathing. The incident was reported to Barangay Kagawad Manuel Rosales who sought assistance from the MPD.
The body was brought to the funeral parlor for autopsy and safekeeping.
