MANILA Mayor Honey Lacuna praised and expressed gratitude to City Administrator Bernie Ang and all the men and women working at the Office of the City Administrator (OCA) for their role in the success of her governance.
Lacuna cited that through the help of Ang and his entire office, all the programs lined up by the city government come to fruition and become successful.
“Ang ating City Administrator ang siyang naniniguro na lahat ng gawaing panglungsod ay natutupad nang mabilis at maayos,” the lady mayor said.
She noted that as an extension of her office, the OCA monitors, moves and steers all of the city’s departments, bureaus and offices in fulfilling their functions efficiently and to the fullest to achieve the administration’s goal toward a ‘Magnificent Manila.’
“Napakabigat kung tutuusin ang responsibilidad ng Office of the City Administrator dahil kinakailangan na mapagalaw nila hindi lamang ang iba’’t-ibang departamento sa pamahalaang-lungsod upang maparating ang tunay at tapat na paglilingkod sa ating mga kababayan,” Lacuna added.
“Sila ang ating katuwang sa lahat ng ganapin at proseso patungkol sa imahe ng Maynila kaya naman lubos ang ating pasasalamat sa OCAD sa pamumuno ni dating Konsehal at ngayon ay City Administrator Bernardito C. Ang,” she stated.
According to assistant asministrator Joy Dawis, the OCA is focused on helping the mayor in establishing an orderly and effective local governance, making sure that all units function like clockwork.
Dawis said that the OCA under Ang, also serves either as head or subhead of various committees, councils, task force and Technical Working Groups such as the Local Finance Committee, Market Committee, Manila Anti-Drug Abuse Council, Manila Peace and Order Council, Local Promotion Board, Solid Waste Management Board and the DRRMO Council, among others.
“Ang aming tanggapan ay namuno sa pangkat ng mga Kawani na masinop at nagsikap madokumento ang mga nagawa at tagumpay ng pamahalang-lungsod upang makamtan ang ating pinakamimithing Seal of Good Local Governance, gayundin upang magawaran tayo ng iba’t-ibang parangal, local man o international,” Dawis said.
