Communist Terrorist Group Continuously Collapses

Surrendered Communist Terrorist Group

CAMP SIONGCO, Awang, DOS, Maguindanao— Three (3) more communist terrorists who have returned to the folds of the law have admitted that the communist organization under the sub-regional command of Daguma is on the brink of collapse.

The three, who belonged to the Platoon Madrid of the West Daguma Front, SRC Daguma of Far South Mindanao Region, operating in the hinterlands of Sultan Kudarat, surrendered and yielded their high-powered firearms to the 37th Infantry (Conqueror) Battalion in Brgy. Tibpuan, Lebak, Sultan Kudarat on Wednesday morning, August 24, 2022.

Among those who surrendered were a 38-year-old man alias “Dok,” a 29-year-old female medic, and a political guide alias “CJ,” a 31-year-old with battle orders.

They surrendered two (2) 5.56mm M16A1 rifles.

“Ang aming mga tinitingalang lider ay dahan-dahan na ring nalipol ng mga sundalo habang tumatagal lalong naghihirap ang aming sitwasyon. Nagkawatak-watak na rin ang aming grupo, kaya naghihirap na kami sa loob ng kilusan gutom at pagod ang naranasan naming sa walang patutunguhang ipinaglalaban“, statement of former rebels.

Lieutenant Colonel John Paul Baldomar, Commanding Officer of 37IB, said that his battalion has been relentless in its campaign to weed out enemies of the state wherein another three communist terrorist groups (CTG) have surrendered to his unit.

“Sa ngayon ay iilan na lamang ang natirang NPA sa patuloy nating pagwasak sa regional command ng FSMR. Yung mga matataas na opisyal nila na binabaan na rin ng order of battle ay na neutralize na rin natin sa mas pinaigting na pagtugis ng mga kasundaluhan laban sa mga teroristang grupo”, Lt. Col. Baldomar added.

Colonel Michael A Santos, Commander, 603rd Brigade, said, “Your Army, along with the communities and the local government of Kalamansig as well as Sultan Kudarat, is painstakingly trying to build a lasting peace in the area of 603rd Brigade. This is why we thank the people who have complemented our efforts by adding social pressure that paved the way for the rebels to finally surrender. ”

Major General Roy M Galido, Commander of the 6th Infantry (Kampilan) Division and Joint Task Force Central, said, “Our unit is always open to welcome you once you decide to live peacefully. The government will provide you with services, including financial and livelihood assistance, to start your new life.”

“So far, 109 CTGs have surrendered to our troops, including their weapons, and 11 CTGs have been neutralized since January to date,” MGen. Galido said.
