Community charities benefit from Aliwan Fiesta Digital Queen search

NEWLY-crowned Aliwan Fiesta Digital Queen 2020 Jannarie Zarzoso and her court recently turned over counterpart funding to their respective chosen charities as part of their winnings in the one-of-a-kind virtual pageant mounted by Manila Broadcasting Company (MBC).

22-year-old Zarzoso of Agusan del Norte recently paid a courtesy call on Cabadbaran Mayor Judy Amante where she turned over a P50,000 check to the Feed, Save, and Protect program of the Philippine National Police; Zarzoso’s parents are both ranking officers of the PNP. Accompanying her was Israel Palero, station manager of Love Radio Butuan, representing MBC.

First runner-up Jasmin Omay, a willowy aviation student from Tarlac, shared P25,000 from her winnings to the Kythe Foundation, which aims to improve the quality of life for children with cancer and other chronic illnesses. Third placer Alyssa May Nicholls, a high school student of Filipino-British descent currently residing in Isulan, who was batting for wildlife preservation, presented P15,000 to Datu Yahiya G. Sinenggayan, OIC of the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources office of Sultan Kudarat, in the presence of Bai Rihan Mangudadatu Sakaluran, Congresswoman 1st District.
