OWING to continuous heavy rains and flooding and in anticipation of the impact of Tropical Depression Dante on flight operations, Cebu Pacific (CEB) has cancelled additional flights scheduled for July 23, 2025.
It was learned from CEB spokesperson Carmina Romero that affected passengers have been informed via email and provided with the following options through the Manage Booking portal on the Cebu Pacific website https://www.cebupacificair.com/manage-booking: Free Rebooking–Rebook without fare difference for travel up to 30 days from original flight date. The fare difference will apply if the travel period is beyond 30 days from the original flight date; Travel Fund-store the amount in a virtual CEB wallet and use this to either book a new flight or pay for add-ons (example: baggage allowance, seat selection, etc.) and Refund-Full refund of your ticket.
According to Romero, passengers are advised that further delays and cancellations may occur in the coming days depending on the weather conditions. We are working closely with airport authorities and operational teams to mitigate the impact as much as possible.
She said CEB is also offering flexible options to passengers who wish to postpone their flights to and from Manila scheduled from July 23 to 25. Passengers may avail of a free rebooking and travel fund up to two hours before their scheduled time of departure.
Romero said CEB strongly advises its passengers not to proceed to the airport unless they have confirmed bookings for flights which are currently still planned to operate. Please monitor the status of your flights via https://www.cebupacificair.com/flight-status or on the CEB mobile app and update your contact details via the Manage Booking portal Cebu Pacific Air to receive email and SMS notifications on flight reminders.
Meanwhile, AirAsia Philippines advises guests of schedule changes for select flights to and from Manila scheduled for 23 July 2025 due to inclement weather and announced flight cancellations.
“With continuous heavy rain brought by the southwest monsoon (locally ‘habagat’) affecting Manila and nearby provinces, and in close coordination with aviation authorities, we’ve taken early precautionary steps to cancel select flights to keep our guests and crew safe, as always. All affected guests have been notified via SMS and their registered email addresses,” said AirAsia Philippines Communications & Corporate Affairs Head and First Officer Steve Dailisan.
Dailisan said guests affected by the flight cancellations may avail of the following Standard Recovery Options (SRO): one-time free change flight: Change to any new travel date of choice within 30 days from the original scheduled departure date on the same route without any additional cost subject to seat availability; credit account: Retain the value of the flight booking in the guest’s AirAsia member account for future travel with AirAsia to be redeemed within 730 calendar days (2 years) from the issuance date. The travel date of the new booking can fall on any date within the published flight schedule on airasia.com; or full refund: Obtain a full refund in the amount equivalent to your booking which will be refunded to the original form of payment. Refund requests can be made with AskBo at support.airasia.com. Refunds for bookings made through travel agents including online travel agents must be done via travel agents from which the booking was made.
Guests who wish to make booking changes may do so via self-service using the link provided in the email notification or through AskBo, adding that AirAsia Philippines encourages guests to regularly check airasia.com/flightstatus for the latest flight status, updates, and other important announcements, Dailisan added.
