Cordillera cops arrested 193 wanted persons in Oct.

CAMP Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet — Police Regional Office-Cordillera (PRO-COR) Director Brig. Gen. R’win SA Pagkalinawan on Wednesday reported that the PRO-COR arrested 193 wanted persons in October.

Of the 193 wanted persons arrested, 37 are listed as Ten Most Wanted Persons (TMWP).

Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) recorded the highest number with 77 apprehensions; followed by Benguet PPO with 46; Kalinga PPO-21; Abra PPO-20; Ifugao PPO-16; Apayao PPO-8; and Mt. Province PPO with five.

The Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) and Benguet PPO registered the highest number of arrests.

The No.1 TMWP in the municipality of Tabuk City identified as Argie Esteban Nalog, 25, was apprehended on the afternoon of October 31 with a recommended bail bond of P72,000 for violation of RA 9262, otherwise known as the Violence Against Women and their Children Act.

Pagkalinawan lauded the operatives for a job well done. However, he ordered a more intensified manhunt against wanted persons in the region as he reminded wanted persons that they cannot hide from the long hands of the law forever.
