Courts in Santiago City, Quirino, Abra closed

THE Supreme Court (SC) has expanded the physical closure of courts, this time to include courts in the City of Santiago and the provinces of Quirino and Abra.

This was after the said areas were placed under modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) along with the National Capital Region, and the provinces of Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, and Rizal, or the so-called NCR Plus.

The courts, including those in Santiago City and the provinces of Quirino and Abra, will be physically closed until April 18, 2020.

However, these courts and their offices must continue to remain accessible to the public through their respective hotlines and email addresses, as published in the SC website, i.e., https://sc.judiciary.gov.ph/hotlines, to act on urgent matters and to address pertinent queries.

Also, the courts in these areas shall continue to operate through videoconferencing as far as practicable.
