COVID-19 Field Hospital faces dismantling

The Manila COVID-19 Field Hospital located in front of the Quirino Grandstand in Ermita, Manila, will be dismantled beginning this month.

It was learned from Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna that the said hospital had stopped accepting patients since October 20.

Just the same, Lacuna said that all the medical equipment from the said Field Hospital will not go to waste since they will be distributed among the six hospitals being run by the local government.

Lacuna also said that the bed capacity of the city’s six district hospitals is enough to accomodate those who may still get infected with COVID-19.

It will be recalled that the National Parks and Development management had previously asked the local government of Manila to already remove the said hospital, saying it needs the area for certain projects.
