COVID-affected tourist workers to still get DSWD aid

THE Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) will continue its livelihood assistance for informal sector workers in the tourist industry whi have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

DSWD Assistant Secretary for Specialized Programs Rhea Penaflor said all qualified families under the DSWD Sustainable Livelihood Program will continue to recieve livelihood assistance.

Around 2,803 families in Bohol have received P17,000 livelihood assistance each.

Penaflow visited Bohol region to validate reports and inspect the preparation of the tourist industry in its transition to the new normal.
