CP charger causes fire

A residential house was razed by fire after a cellphone charger reportedly exploded yesterday morning at Oro-B St., corner Sampaguita St., Barangay 770, San Andres Bukid, Manila.

The Manila Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) reported that the fire began at 8:30 a.m. at a house owned by one Pamela Perez.

Said fire was said to have lasted for ten minutes and was declared ‘fire-out’ at 8:40 a.m.

Initial investigation showed that the cellphone charger got short circuited and exploded, thus causing fire.

No one was reported hurt or killed in the fire whose estimated damage to property was placed at P10,000.
