CRSAFP collaborates with Landers Superstore in extending help to earthquake victims in Abra

CRSAFP and Landers Superstore help to earthquake victims in Abra

TARLAC CITY – The Civil Relations Service, Armed Forces of the Philippines (CRSAFP) through the 1st Civil relations Group (1CRG CRSAFP) collaborates with the Landers Superstore in the hauling of relief goods intended to affected families of the 7.0 magnitude earthquake in Abra as part of the ongoing humanitarian disaster and relief operations of the Northern Luzon Command (NOLCOM).

The goods, which included 2000 bags of 5 kilograms rice; 4000 pieces of sausages; 9800 pieces of noodles, 1800 canned goods, and 3600 pieces of instant coffee and milo, donated by Landers Superstore through their program ‘Landers Share the Hope Donation Drive’ was hauled and repacked by soldiers from the Northern Luzon Command.

The relief packs that will benefit thousands of beneficiaries will immediately be transported to Abra for distribution after the repacking.

Landers Superstore is a combination of supermarket and department stores and is considered as a one stop shop for all the member-customer’s need. It has been redefining membership shopping since it’s opened its first branch on June 22, 2016.

It can be recalled that a day after the quake that hit the province of Abra and Ilocos Sur on June 27, 2022, the 1CRG CRSAFP is one of the AFP units who responded immediately to the victims of the said calamity by distributing relief packs in collaboration with the department of social welfare and development and the provincial government of Abra.

According to Maj Al Anthony B Pueblas, the Acting Group Commander of the 1CRG CRSAFP that, “Since the start of the calamity, the NOLCOM, AFP have utilized their assets and manpower for humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations, and as part of our duty to serve, we are ready to provide immediate support to the affected victims in partnership with stakeholders who are always ready to extend necessary support and assistance.”

“We will continue to strengthen our partnerships with our stakeholders in order to contribute in changing the lives of our fellowmen specially those who suffered from the debacles brought by natural disasters”, he added.

The 1CRG CRSAFP and the Northern Luzon Command, AFP extend their gratitude to Landers Superstore for the food donations for the benefit of the victims of the earthquake that recently hit Abra.
