De Leon is new PRO3 director

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga – Brig. Gen. Valeriano De leon took over the leadership of the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) here from Brig. Gen. Rhodel Sermonia during a simple turnover ceremony here last Wednesday.

Philippine National Police Chief Gen. Camilo Pancratius Cascolan officiated the change of command.

De Leon is a member of the Philippine Military Academy Makatao Class of 1989 and classmate of Sermonia.

Prior to his designation as PRO3’s top cop, De Leon was the deputy director of the Directorate for Human Resource Doctrine and Development.

Cascolan was guest of honor during the formal opening, blessing, inauguration and commencement of construction of several infrastructures of PRO3 here.

The projects include the KKDAT Activity Center, RAC Pulis Makatao Malasakit Center, Containerized Quarantine Facility, RMFB3 Motor Pool and CDM Storage, RMFB3 Female Barracks, improved PRO3 Firing Range, SAR House, Construction of covered Tennis Court,PRO3 Aqua Culture, “P-Koi” (PRO3 Japanese Koi Garden), PRO3 Bayanihan Multi-Purpose Center, RD’s Glass House, Balai Kapampangan and PRO3 Swimming Pool.

PRO3’s stakeholders and private individuals funded the edifices which created a police camp more conducive for the delivery of best police services to all.

“The improvement of infrastructures is a manifestation of a truly strong and effective police-community partnershi. As such our people have regained their trust and confidence to their police with their all-out support to make all these materialize.I must say that the on-going implementation of the current priority projects of PRO3, most especially the JIPCO, KKDAT, Rektang Konek -Aksyon Agad, Kaligkasan, OFW Desk, Expanded Caravan and to include the PRO3 Proactive Foodbank has contributed immensely to the anti-criminality campaign against illegal drugs, and in our effort in ending local communist armed conflict. It also contributed to the poverty allevation efforts of the government especially during this time of pandemic,” Cascolan said.

For his part, Sermonia said: “To all our stakeholders in Central Luzon, we vow to continuously offer our relentless outstanding service all for the greater good and with a smiling heart will never stop serving and protecting our communities.”
