DENR Chief Enjoins Civil Society in Climate Action

Environment Secretary Maria Antonia Yulo Loyzaga discusses how the Association of Foundations (AF), through its 203 social development organizations, can engage government in climate resilience development and disaster avoidance in communities highly vulnerable to climate change impacts during AF’s 50th anniversary celebration held in Quezon City on October 14. Loyzaga made the call in light of the 2022 World Risk Index report that the Philippines ranks first in terms of exposure to disasters, and vulnerability to natural hazards compounded by global warming and climate change.
