DENR receives Extended Producer Responsibility Program of PARMS

Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Undersecretary for Field Operations – Luzon, Visayas and the Environment Juan Miguel T. Cuna (3rd from left) receives the Zero Waste to Nature-Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) Program of the Philippine Alliance for Recycling and Materials Sustainability (PARMS) from its founding president and National Solid Waste Management Commission Commissioner Crispian Lao (3rd from right). The Program is in compliance with Republic Act 11898 or the EPR Act of 2022 which requires obliged large companies to recover up to 80% of their plastic packaging waste. The turnover was held during the 22nd Signing Anniversary of RA 9003 or the Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000 and the culmination of the Zero Waste Month.
