DENR Recognizes Solid Waste Management Campaign Partners

Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Undersecretary for Solid Waste Management and Local Government Units Concerns Benny D. Antiporda (2nd from left) hands over the certificates of appreciation to Hostillo Arturo Cornelio, Commander, Coast Guard District National Capital Region-Central Luzon (2nd from right) for the agency’s active participation in the dismantling of illegal fishing structures in Cavite City. Also recognized were partner-agencies, stakeholders, and local government units (LGU) who have supported the DENR’s Solid Waste Management Campaign and the Manila Bay Rehabilitation Program in 2021. These include members of the National Solid Waste Management Commission, the Philippine National Police-Maritime Group, Philippine Army Reserve Command, Cavite City LGU, Environmental Management Bureau regional offices, DENR Region 4A, and Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office-Cavite. The hybrid awarding was part of the celebration of the 21st signing anniversary of Republic Act 9003 or the Ecological Solid Waste Management of 2000 on February 2.
