Dismissed cop wanted for robbery and murder nabbed by MPD

THE Manila Police District – District Police Intelligence and Operations Unit (MPD-DPIOU) arrested a a former Manila policeman who reportedly got dismissed from the service due to alleged involvement in cases of robbery and murder in various parts of Metro Manila.

The former cop, a police officer 1 (PO1), 47, of No. 956 Masinop St., Tondo, Manila, is now in the custody of the MPD following his arrest in Tondo, Manila.

According to PMajor Philip Ines, chief of the MPD’s Public Information Office, several warrants of arrest have been served on Roma while he is detained at the DPIOU, including an “execution of judgement”.

Roma, it was learned, is in the list of ‘Most Wanted Persons’ in the district level of the MPD.

He was said to have begun committing crimes in 2005 when he was still in active service, just 26 years old and a neophyte cop.

In April 2007, he was positively identified as the one who held up and killed Chinese -Filipino trader Alberto Uy of Sta .Cruz, Manila.

Roma is said to be involved in 11 criminal cases mostly robbery.
