DOTr Sec. Bautista thanks CAAP for giving him temporary office

Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Jaime Bautista thanked the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) for having accomodated him for the last two months as the DOTr looks for a permanent office space in the National Capital Region.

Bautista expressed his gratitude during the monthly office-wide flag raising ceremony of CAAP attended by CAAP officials and employees from its Central Office, where the DOTr Secretary cited the CAAP for its hospitality.

According to Bautista he is still looking for an office as of this writing.

In the said ceremony, Bautista also shared the challenges of taking a leadership role at a hot-seat government office and how he has strived to learn how government works.

Meanwhile, CAAP Acting Director General Captain Manuel Antonio “Skee” Tamayo also delivered a message to brief the CAAP community on what is to come for the new month as well as to thank CAAP employees for their resilience and hard work despite the recent natural calamities.

CAAP spokesman Eric Apolonio said the authority operates air navigation facilities and 77 provincial airports around the country, of which, 42 are operating commercially.
