DPWH Develops Road, Land for Mandaluyong Offsite Hospital Project

Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark A. Villar announced that access roads were paved for the upcoming new hospital facility project at the National Center for Mental Health (NCMH) in Mandaluyong City.

Secretary Villar said the new healthcare facility project will contribute to the fight against Covid-19.

In his report to Secretary Villar, Undersecretary and DPWH Task Force to Facilitate Augmentation of Health Facilities head Emil K. Sadain said enhancing the road condition and land devopment in conjunction with the construction of modular pre-fabricated hospital components are nearing completion.

The identified site by NCMH management and DPWH have changed significantly with concreted road for easy access to treatment healthcare centers that will be built soon, Undersecretary Sadain added following an occular inspection with Task Force members Director Aristarco Doroy and Asst Director Edgardo Garces.

The offsite hospital project consists of a six (6) cluster units, each with 22 airconditioned rooms with separate toilet and bath or 132 total bed capacity.

In addition, two (2) cluster units of dormitories will be built each with 16 rooms and double decker beds for 64 for hospital personnel and other health service frontliners.
