A 35-YEAR-OLD driver ended up in jail for allegedly beating up his live-in partner inside their home the other day in Malate, Manila.
Now facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9262 or violence against women and their children isMarlon Emas, of 2251 Leveriza St.,Malate, Manila.
The victim, Rosechelle Rebutar, 35, secretary, told the police at the Manila Police District-Station 9 that she was mauled at around 2:30 a.m.
The two reportedly had an argument for still unclear reasons until the suspect banged his crash helmet on the victim’s head.
The suspect also punched the victim’s head repeatedly.
The complainant also alleged that the suspect dragged her by the hair all the way to the second floor of their house.
There, the suspect allegedly resumed punching her, until the victim’s relatives arrived and pacified him.
The police later arrived and arrested the suspect.
