Drug suspect killed in Laguna encounter

ANOTHER provincial high value individual was killed in armed encounter with operatives of the Provincial Drugs Enforcement Unit / PDEA IVA and Pila police station during a buy bust-operation Friday evening in Bgy. Sta Clara Sur, Pila,Laguna.

Laguna Provincial Director PCol. Serafin Petalio II identified the slain suspect as Joeffer Alba, resident of Maharlika Village, Taguig, Metro Manila.

The illegal drug operation was conducted at around 10:10 pm which resulted to an armed encounter and the death of the suspect.

The suspect was selling five grams of shabu worth P12,000 to a poseur-buyer when he sensed that he was dealing with a cop. He tries to shoot the police officer and escape.

Law enforcers retaliated, killing the suspect on the spot.

Recovered from the crime scene were an undetermined caliber of pistol and scattered cartridges, nine sachets of shabu with an estimated weight of 50 grams of shabu with a DDB value of P 345,000.

Prior to the operation, information revealed that the slain suspect was a bigtime drug pusher from Bgy. Maharlika, Taguig City who reportedly supplied was shabu in cities and municipalities of Laguna.
