Drug suspect with many aliases falls in Las Piñas

A MAN facing drug and frustrated homicide charges and had been using several aliases to elude arrest finally landed in jail following his arrest on Wednesday evening in Las Piñas City.

National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Chief P/MGen. Debold Sinas lauded the joint operatives of the Warrant and Subpoena Section and Intelligence Section of Las Piñas police for the arrest of Macoi Pabustan, 35, also known as Mac Mac Devina and Danver Divina, tagged by police as No. 7 Most Wanted Person, when he visited his family at 16 Teachers Compound, BF Intl’ CAA, at around 6:30 p.m.

The arrest was plotted after a series of intelligence gathering and monitoring conducted by operatives of Intelligence Section following a tip from an informant that Pabustan was frequently seen visiting his family.

Pabustan was arrested by virtue of an arrest warrant issued by Las Piñas Regional Trial Court (RTC) Judge Lorna Navarro Domingo of Branch 201 on February 17, 2020 for the crime of frustrated homicide and violation of Section 12, Article II of R.A 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.

The court recommended P24,000.00 bail for his temporary liberty on criminal case No. 20-0274 or frustrated homicide but no bail was recommended for charges on illegal drugs.

In the past few days, Team NCRPO has arrested numerous Top Most Wanted Persons, a manifestation of our continuous effort and dedication in maintaining peace and order in our region,” P/MGen. Sinas said.
