TWO businessmen and a driver were nabbed by Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) operatives following the confiscation of illegal drugs and a gun during a buy bust Monday in Cabuyao City, Laguna.
Laguna Provincial Director PCol. Serafin Petalion II in a report to Calabarzon Regional Director PBGen. Felife Natividad said identified the arrested suspects as Rodolfo Fernandez alias Don Pepe, 54 , businessman, of Muntinlupa City, and residing at 14 Block 8, Bgy. Bayanan; Jim Fernandez , 26 businessman, a native of Muntinlupa City, and resident at 14 Block 8, Bgy. Bayanan, and Zyrll Hicvan Ariola, 24 , driver, of Muntinlupa City, residing on 68 Block 8, Purok 1, Bgy. Bayanan.
The arrested suspects sold illegal drugs for P500 to a poseur buyer 10:30 pm on Along Purok 3, Bgy. Gulod, Cabuyao City.
The buy bust was conducted by Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) operatives of the Cabuyao City Police under the supervision of PLTCol. Gilmore Wasin, acting chief of police.
Seized were four plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, a .32 caliber pistol without brand/make, inserted magazine with seven .32 caliber live ammunitions, black holster, P1,000 bill, a marked P500 bill and gray Toyota Vios (DAN 2452).
The arrested suspects and confiscated evidence were brought to the Cabuyao police for proper disposition while cases are being prepared against the suspects for violation of RA 9165.
