Dry-run para sa cashless tollway collection, pinalawak pa ng TRB

Cashless tollway collection dry run

Pinalawak pa ng Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) ang dry run na isinasagawa para sa cashless tollway collection.

Sa abiso ng TRB, nabatid na simula nitong Biyernes, Setyembre 8, mas marami pang toll plaza ang lalahok na rin sa naturang dry run.

Ayon sa TRB, kasama na rin sa programa ang NAIAX Road B ng NAIA Expressway (NAIAX); Merville Toll Plaza, Sucat SB at NB Exit at Bicutan SB and NB Entry ng South Metro Manila Skyway Stage 1&2; Buendia NB Entry, Plaza Dilao Toll Plaza at Quezon Ave. SB Entry ng Metro Manila Skyway Stage 3; Eton SB at NB Entry/Exit, Cabuyao SB Entry, Alabang SB at NB Entry/Exit, Batino SB Exit at Calamba Turbina A NB Entry ng South Luzon Expressway (SLEX); Sto. Tomas NB Entry ng STAR Tollway; at Anao Toll Plaza, Pura Toll Plaza at Pozzorubio Toll Plaza ng Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway (TPLEX).

Ito na ang ikalawang batch ng toll plazas na lalahok sa dry run at pawang gumagamit ng Autosweep Radio Frequency Identification (RFID).

Ang iba pa namang kalahok na toll plaza ay kinabibilangan ng Muntinlupa-Cavite Expressway, North Luzon Expressway, Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway, Cavite-Laguna Expressway at Manila-Cavite Toll Expressway-C5 Southlink.

“On participating toll plazas, motorists with no RFID stickers shall be directed to a safe place/location where he can pay the toll fees in cash, and shall be persuaded to have an RFID sticker installed,” dagdag pa ng TRB.

Matatandaang una nang sinimulan ang dry-run noong Setyembre 1 sa ilang pili at kuwalipikadong toll plazas.

Una na rin ng sinabi ng Department of Transportation (DOTr) na ang magiging findings sa naturang dalawang buwang dry run ang siyang tutukoy kung ang contactless program ay gagawin nang permanente.
