A six-month-old baby whose Filipino mother died during childbirth in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, was safely brought back to the Philippines last July 22 by a social worker from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
The infant was warmly welcomed by Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) Secretary Hans Leo Cacdac and her maternal relatives who thanked the DSWD team led by Undersecretary Monina Josefina Romualdez for ensuring the safe arrival in the country.

First Lady Louise Araneta-Marcos ordered the swift inter-agency support to the baby during the stretch of the DMW-led ‘Bagong Bayani Serbisyo Caravan’ in Riyadh which the First Lady attended.
As the infant is set to be placer under the care of her mother’s relatives from Quezon province, the DSWD Field Office CALABARZON will be working closely with the provincial local government to ensure the baby’s well-being and safety. (LSJ)
