Department of Social Wel fare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rex Gatchalian on Monday (June 9) successfully convinces families and individuals living under the Raxabago Bridge in Tondo, Manila to voluntarily go with social workers of the Pag-Abot Program to the agency’s processing center in Pasay City.
During the reach out operation, the DSWD chief assured the concerned families and individuals that they will be properly assessed and provided with necessary social welfare interventions.
Joining Secretary Gatchalian in the reach out activity were Undersecretary Edu Punay of the Innovations Program and Development Group (IPDG); Assistant Secretary Irene Dumlao of the Disaster Response and Management Group (DRMG); Director Clarissa Lara Duran of the Traditional Media Service; and, Officer-in-Charge, Deputy Program Manager (DPM) Marilyn Moral of the Pag-Abot Program.
