Just two days after his visit to Capizenos affected by Tropical Storm ‘Ramil,’ Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rex Gatchalian on Thursday (October 23) returns to Capiz province to lead the distribution of additional family food packs (FFPs) to residents affected by the recent weather disturbance.
Secretary Gatchalian was accompanied by Undersecretary Diana Rose Cajipe of the DSWD’s Disaster Response Management Group (DRMG) and Field Office (FO) 6 – Western Visayas Regional Director (RD) Joselito Estember.
Other high ranking government officials who joined the visit were Special Assistant to the President (SAP) Antonio Lagdameo, Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Vince Dizon, Department of Health (DOH) Secretary Teodoro Herbosa, Department of Agriculture (DA) Undersecretary Alvin John Balagbag, and former Senator Mar Roxas who is from Capiz province.
