Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rex Gatchalian on Wednesday (September 17) flew to Iloilo Province to engage parent leaders (PLs) and municipal links of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) in a ‘kumustahan’ session.
During the dialogue, the DSWD chief asked the 4Ps PLs about their readiness to exit the program, aftercare for exiting households, challenges in budgeting their grants, and suggestions to improve the conduct of family development sessions (FDS).
After the PLs, Secretary Gatchalian also listened to municipal links about their difficulties and concerns in delivering services to 4Ps beneficiaries.

The kumustahan session with 4Ps beneficiaries and implementers is part of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr’s directive to the DSWD to continuously improve the 4Ps’ implementation.
Joining the DSWD chief during the dialogue were Asst. Secretary Irene Dumlao and OIC-Regional Director Joselito Estember of the DSWD’s Field Office 6-Western Visayas. (AKDL)
