Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rex Gatchalian on Tuesday (August 19) explains to Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Secretary Amenah Pangandaman the features of the mechanized production system at the National Resource Operations Center (NROC) in Pasay City.
Secretary Gatchalian showed to the DBM chief the rice packing system and the new barcoding system to track the delivery of family food packs (FFPs) to the DSWD’s warehouses across the country.
The tour in the NROC warehouse was part of the two Cabinet secretaries meeting to discuss ways to boost the disaster response capabilities of the government.

The DSWD officials who joined the NROC tour were Undersecretary Diana Rose Cajipe and Asst. Secretary Irene Dumlao of the Disaster Response and Management Group (DRMG); Special Assistant to the Secretary Leo Quintilla, who is also the Officer-In-Charge of the National Resource and Logistics Management Bureau (NRLMB); Director Maria Isabel Lanada and Asst. Bureau Director Michael Cristopher Mathay of the Disaster Response Management Bureau (DRMB).
The DBM officials who were present in the warehouse visit were Undersecretaries Goddes Hope Libiran, Margaux Salcedo, and Wilford Will Wong; Asst. Secretary Bodie Pulido; and Director Mario Santos. (AKDL)
