DSWD exec expounds on agency’s peace, dev’t programs for ex-rebels in Senate hearing

Senate hearing on programs for ex-rebels

Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Undersecretary for Inclusive Sustainable Peace and Special Concerns (ISPSC) Alan Tanjusay speaks before a public hearing called by the Senate Committee on Public Order and Dangerous Drugs chaired by Sen. Ronald “Bato” De la Rosa.

In the August 6 (Tuesday) hearing to discuss Senate Resolution No. 863 titled “Continuous Radicalization and Recruitment of Students in Educational Institutions to the Local Communist Terrorist Groups”, Undersecretary Tanjusay explained the agency’s peace and development programs as well as the current status of the social case management service for former rebels.
