Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Undersecretary Alan Tanjusay of the Peace and Development Group (PDG) meets with Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson on Monday (March 10) at the Negros Occidental Provincial Capitol in Bacolod City to discuss the progress of peace and development initiatives under the PAyapa at MAsaganang PamayaNAn (PAMANA) program.
The two officials also tackled the initiatives for 2026, which will be targeting 142 conflict-vulnerable or conflict-affected areas under the implementation of the PAMANA program in the local government unit (LGU) of Negros Occidental.

The PAMANA program is the Philippine government’s flagship initiative for peace and development in conflict-affected and conflict-vulnerable areas. The program aligns with the government’s broader peace and security agenda, ensuring that peace efforts translate into tangible development benefits.
Also joining Undersecretary Tanjusay in the courtesy call were personnel and representatives of the Peace and Development Buong Bansa Mapayapa – National Program Management Office (PDBBM-NPMO), PAMANA NPMO Region 6 (Western Visayas) and Kapatiran Program. (LSJ)
