DSWD extends cash aid to families affected by flooding in Eastern Visayas

Personnel of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office-8 (Eastern Visayas) has started on Friday (January 19) the distribution of cash assistance, under the Emergency Cash Transfer (ECT) program, to families affected by the massive flooding caused by a shear line in Northern Samar last November 2023.

The Field Office has already distributed cash aid worth over Php11 million to 3,844 beneficiaries.

The payout of cash aid will continue in the coming days until the DSWD Eastern Visayas Field Office reaches its target of over 100,000 beneficiaries.
