DSWD lauds LGU support to former 4Ps members

Former 4Ps members

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), through its Field Office-MIMAROPA, lauded the local government unit (LGU) of Magdiwang in Romblon for its commitment to extend after-care services to beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) who have already exited from the program.

The LGU of Magdiwang has allocated Php115,000 to help former 4Ps families with children in senior high school and college.

Some 23 families received their educational assistance last Jan. 17 from the LGU of Magdiwang led by Mayor Arthur Rey Tansiongco.

The event was also attended by Municipal Social Welfare Officer (MSWDO) Dearlit Jane R. Patiño, Mr. Augustus Radan of the Mayor’s Office, Provincial Link Social Welfare Officer (SWO) III Geneva Luces Fabila Zacarias, and Provincial Operations Office Romblon SWO II Mary Rose Ravalo.

The provision of financial assistance demonstrates the strong partnership of the DSWD with the LGU of Magdiwang in ensuring the well-being of former 4Ps beneficiaries.

The LGU of Magdiwang is just among the many LGUs nationwide that continue to assist 4Ps beneficiaries who have graduated from the program.
