The Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) lowered its flag to half-mast for the passing of former President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III on June 24.

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) is one with the nation in mourning the passing of former President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III.

Former President Aquino was a diligent and dedicated public servant. His passion to serve the public was unparalleled. This was seen through his “Daang Matuwid” leadership which ensured that government reforms and policies will be made to improve the lives of the poor, marginalized, and vulnerable sectors of society.

The whole DSWD family is grateful and honored to be a part of his legacy.
